Abraham Negasi

Abraham Negasi was born in Adi Segdo, Eritrea and was raised in a loving family. At an early age he joined the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front (EPLF) in search of freedom.  That is also when he got the nick name Johnhoy due to his resemblance to the Ethiopian Emperor.  As he would say “Jebha kilte 20 koyna” and he exiled to the Sudan like many of his peers.  Thou now it is fashionable to grow your beard, Abraham was a head of his time in growing his and with that look he gained yet another nick name Keshi.  From how he lived his life it is no surprise that Abraham would fight for freedom.  Abraham was the millennial of his generation, in that he focused on staying happy and was the most gentle soul.  He struggled with some health issues while living in Canada but I am sure he did not think this trip to the hospital would be the last.  He held on for dear life on a ventilator for over three weeks but we hope he found solace in God as it is stated in Psalm 23.

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

ብዛዕባ ኣብርሃም ፦ ኣብርሃም ነጋሲ ኣብ ኣዲ ሴግዶ ኤርትረ ኢዩ ተወሊዱ ኣብ ፈቃራት ስድራቤት ድማ ኢዩ ዓብዩ ። ካብ ንእስነቱ ኣትሒዙ ናጽነት ንምርካብ ምስ ግንባር ሓርነት ህዝቢ ኤርትርያ ተጸምበረ ኣብኡ ኸኣ: ንሃጸይ ኢትዮጵያ ሃይል ሰላሲ ስለ ዝመሳሰል ጆንሆይ ዝብል ሳጓ ተዋህቦ ። ከምቲ ንሱ ከምቲ ዝበሎ “ጀባሓ ኪልተ 20 ኮይና” ኸኣ ከም ብዙሓት መዛኑኡ ናብ ሱዳን ተሓየረ። ኣብዚ ግዜ እዚ ጭሕምኹም ከተብቍሉ ፋሽን ከም ዝዀነ ትሓስቡ እንተ ዄንኩም ኣብርሃም ጭሕሙ ኣብ ምዕባይ መራሒ ኢዩ ነይሩ: በዚ መልክዕ ኸኣ ከሺ ዝብል ሳጓ ተዋህቦ ። ኣብርሃም ንሓርነት ምቅላሱ ዜገርም ኣይኰነን ። ኣብርሃም ናጽነቱ  ዝፈቱ ነበረ: እቲ ለውሃት ዝመልኦ ጠባዩን ሰሓቑን ባህ ዜብል እዩ ነይሩ። ኣብ ካናዳ ኺነብር ከሎ ናይ ጥዕና ጸገማት ይቃለስ እኳ እንተ ነበረ: እዚኣ ግዚ ንሆስፒታል ምኻድ ናይ መወዳእታ ዀይኑ ኸም ዘይተሰምዖ ርግጸኛ እየ ። ብማሽን ምስትንፋስ ንክቡር ህይወት ፈተነ። ከምቲ ኣብ መዝሙር ዳዊት 23 ተገሊጹ ዘሎ ኣብ ኣምላኽ ምጽንናዕን ተስፋን ረኪቡ ኺኮዊን ተስፋ ንገብር ።

መዝሙር ዳዊት 23 :

1 የሆዋ ጓሳይየይ እዩ፣ ኣይደልን እየ ።

2 ኣብ ሓምላይ መጓሰይ ከም ዝድቅስ ይገብረኒ፣ ኣብ ጥቓ ማያት ይመርሓኒ።

3 ንነፍሰይ ይመልሳ፦ ምእንቲ ስሙ ኢሉ ብመገዲ ጽድቂ ይመርሓኒ።

4 እወ ብስንጭሮ ጽላሎት ሞት እኳ እንተ ተመላለስኩ ንስኻ ምሳይ ኢኻ እሞ እከይ ኣይክፈርህን እየ፣ በትርኻን በትርኻን የጸናንዑኒ።

5 ኣብ ቅድሚ ጸላእተይ መኣዲ ተዳሉ፦ ንርእሰይ ብዘይቲ ትቕብኣያ፣ ጽዋኣይ ኣብ ልዕሊኡ ትጐዪ።

6 ብዅሉ መዓልትታት ህይወተይ ብርግጽ ሰናይን ምሕረትን ኪስዕበኒ እዩ፣ ኣነ እውን ንዘለኣለም ኣብ ቤት የሆዋ ኽነብር እየ።

ነፍስኻ ፍቑር ሓውና ብሰላም ትዕረፍ።
