It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a phenomenal woman, mother and friend Adnetta Morgan.
Adnetta was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her, and will be forever loved. Adnetta gave birth to three children Grace, Joy, and Samuel. She is also mourned by her grandchildren Marissa and Jerome; sister Sarah Morrison; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Adnetta was a loving sister and relative as she also aided in raising several of her family members while she attended and taught school.
Adnetta was born in Brainerd, Saint Mary, Jamaica where she was raised and attended teachers college and taught for several years in various parishes throughout Jamaica. In 1975 Adnetta moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. When she moved to Canada she upgraded her teacher’s degree at the University of Calgary. However, while she attended the University of Calgary she also worked as a Health Care Aide at Bethany Care Society. While at Bethany, she found her passion for helping others and continued for the next 42 years working at Bethany Care Society.
Adnetta was a devout Christian who loved the Lord God Almighty and loved praying and ministering to others. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic of Calgary from the time she first came to Calgary. She was ordained an Evangelist headed by Bishop Fitzgerald Bonito. While she primarily attended that church, she was well known by virtually all members of numerous Jamaican Apostolic churches around Calgary and Alberta.
Adnetta will be remembered by her loving, caring and giving heart. She loved everyone she met. She was truly a woman after the God’s own heart.
