Agnes Anderson of Okotoks, Alberta passed away after a brief illness on October 28, 2019 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 83 years.
Agnes is survived by her beloved daughter Carrie of Claresholm Alberta; and her dear sister and best friend Elsie Cooper of Calgary Alberta.
Agnes was born in Preeceville, Saskatchewan in 1936 to parents William and Mary Nemitz who predeceased her. At the young age of ‘almost 18’, Agnes was accepted into The Calgary General Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated in 1956 and began her long nursing career.
A life long caregiver, Agnes was notably one of the kindest and most thoughtful people one could ever meet on this earth. She never focused on her own wants or needs and her true happiness came from serving.
Agnes loved to dance, sing, laugh and be silly; she was brave, courageous and fearless. A farm girl at heart, Agnes loved the open skies of the prairies and the guiding light of the moon.
Agnes was a dedicated mother first and adored her fur grandbabies. She made friends everywhere she went, loved to talk to strangers and always went over and above what she considered, her call of duty.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Agnes during her last days.
Cremation has already taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date as she requested.
Memorial donations in memory of Agnes can be made online or by mail to Leo Rescue Canada, a registered Canadian charity (Registration Number 81336 8685 RR0001). http://leorescuecanada.com/Donations.htm
