In Loving Memory of Aileen Edith Cavel, (Stinson) McCormick (nee, McLean), who passed on to Jesus September 2, 2014 at 2:15 A.M. in Rocky View Emergency, Calgary. Born in New Waterford, N.S. on June 2, 1916, Aileen was always a bright light to all who knew her. Her passion was serving Jesus and giving to many Christian charities. She was an energetic, compassionate and loving person and mother. Also, her sense of humour and quick wit will be missed by her four daughters: Yvonne Trask, AZ. , Mildred Demuriak, Manitoba, Cheryle Ferrer-Hennon, B.C. , and Pamela (Graham)Wade, A.B. She will also be missed by her living grandchildren: Robert (Julie)Wallace, AZ. , Peter-Jay (Suzanne)Demuriak , A.B. , Candace (Rodney)De’ Ath, Manitoba, Joy Stinson, AB., Cynthia Ferrer, B.C., Carolyn Ferrer, B.C., Nicole (Dave)Bolstad , AB., and Lori Moore, B.C. Aileen had thirteen great grandchildren who loved her dearly and one great-great-grandson, too young to know her beautiful spirit. Remaining of her family of twelve (siblings) are two sisters, Pearl LaChance , B.C. and Dorothy Podolski, Sask., and three brothers Arnold, B.C. , Milton, B.C. and Robert, B.C. Mom was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Mom passed away peacefully twelve hours after an aneurysm struck. Many thanks to the empathetic, patient and respectful care and gentle kindness of Rocky View emergency hospital staff who made our last hours with mom, and mom’s last hours, quiet and peaceful. We also wish to thank Pierson’s Funeral Services, Calgary, for their quality of empathy and patience and respect and understanding in our time of sudden grief. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to all who came to honour mom and who sent cards/flowers of sympathy. We will miss you.
