GAMBLE Alan Mills December 19, 1934 January 24, 2013 Alan Gamble passed away suddenly on January 24, 2013 at the age of 78 years. He will be dearly missed by his wife Laraine; their two sons Paul Gamble of Lac La Biche, AB and Brian Gamble of Calgary; a brother Ted Gamble (Muriel) of Barrie, ON; sister Joan White of Lindsay, ON; and Laraine’s family in Calgary: Erik & Erlene Quackenbush and Gordon & Mimi Hawley and their families. Alan was predeceased by his parents Rayner and Grace Gamble. Alan was born in Toronto and raised in London, ON. After High School he returned to Toronto where he attended university and then to Timmin’s where he taught accounting at Northern College. In 1973 he ventured west to Calgary where he met Laraine Hawley, married and raised their family. Alan was a CMA by profession and spent much of career working in Real Estate and Property Management in Calgary. An outdoorsman at heart, he loved returning to Bolger Bridge and Perry Sound, Ontario to fish and spend time in the wild. Alan also enjoyed skiing, reading, all things relating to aircraft and history. He was an understated man who never stopped trying to become better. He had a kind heart and will be remembered as being a good father, caretaker of his family and their best friend. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Centre Street Church, Main Campus, 3900 2 Street NE, Calgary at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Miriam Mollering officiating.
