Albert Fiebelkorn

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Albert Fiebelkorn announces his passing on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the age of 89 years. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 62 years, Elizabeth “Georgina” of Calgary, AB; his children, Patricia of Calgary, AB, Bryan (Lilibeth) of Vancouver, BC, Larry (Leah) of Calgary, AB, and Ronald (Robyn) of Lumby, BC; his much adored grandchildren, Jenny Ann of Montreal, QC, Wade of Lumby, BC, Keira of Calgary, AB, Jessica of Ottawa, ON, Steven of Calgary, AB, and Jacob of Lumby, BC; his brothers Louie Fiebelkorn and William Fiebelkorn; as well as numerous family and friends. Albert was predeceased by his parents, Emily (nee Grams) and Adolph; and his siblings, Fred, Henry, Edward, Mary, Lenora, and Emma. Albert was born in Steinbach, an agricultural hub in Manitoba. He knew his way around the family farm and was passionate for the work he did. His hands were his tools, and he spent many years building and rebuilding machinery as a Heavy Duty Mechanic. The memory of Albert brings a smile to those who knew and loved him; whether it be his ability to master the construction of any equipment, a determined – and what some may call stubborn – mindset, or his sweet tooth for gum drops. Whatever the recollection may be, Albert will always be remembered as a man who loved and was truly loved. Calgary, Alberta T2E 4Y2. A Celebration of Life will be held in honour of Albert at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel, 4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 am.
