PARMLEY, Albert Marlowe February 6, 1932 October 8, 2012
Albert Parmley passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the age of 80 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Elfrieda Parmley (nee Klauss); children Walter Parmley and Debra Parmley; granddaughter Michelle (Steve) Stolz; great grandchildren Cassandra and Alexander Stolz; brother Phillip (Valerie) Parmley of Courtney, BC; sister-in-law Beatrice Parmley of Kelvington, SK; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Joe, Roy and Henry Parmley; sister Lowella Irwin; and sister-in-law Dolly Parmley. Albert was born and raised on the family farm near Saskatoon, SK. While an early teen, he left home to work and eventually joined the Army and served in Korea from 1951 1954. Before leaving the army, he moved to Calgary where he met the love of his life Elfrieda. They were married a short time later and blessed with two children, Walter and Debra. Albert had a love for music and could play any instrument he picked up. He also had an impeccable talent for fixing cars. A Visitation will be held for Albert at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel, 4121 17 Avenue SE, on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 6:00 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held to honour Albert’s life at the same location on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Kelvington, SK at a later date.
