Alice Smith (née Pearce)

Alice Smith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 94. Born on January 28, 1930, Alice lived a life full of love, joy, and generosity that touched everyone she met. 

Preceded in death by her husband, James (Bill) Smith; her daughter, Eileen; and her twin sister, Trudy, Alice is survived by her devoted daughter, Elizabeth, and son-in-law, Jeff. She was the proud grandmother of Elise (Kevin), Adelle (Eric), and Jocelyn (Kyle), and the adored great-grandmother to Mason, Porter, Lindsey, Makinley, Austin, Beckham, and Bentley.  

Alice was known for her spunky spirit, boundless energy, and vibrant personality. She was fun, full of life, and always ready with a kind word or thoughtful gesture. Her generosity knew no limits, and her thoughtfulness made everyone feel special and deeply loved.  

Above all, Alice was deeply grateful for every day she was given. She often said, “Each day is a gift,” a sentiment she lived by and shared with others. Her positive outlook and appreciation for life inspired all who knew her.  

Alice’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and an unshakable zest for life. She leaves behind an enduring example of how to live with grace, kindness, and a twinkle in her eye.  

She will be dearly missed, but forever remembered by her family and friends. A celebration of her remarkable life will be held Friday, December 20th at 11:00am. Royal Oak Chapel of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 81 Royal Elm Drive NW Calgary, Alberta. Graveside Service will follow at Queen's Park Cemetery (3219 - 4 Street NW, Calgary).
