On Saturday, February 19, 2022 Chuck Amos, beloved husband of Lorretta Amos, of Calgary, Alberta passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 79 years.
Chuck was born on November 28, 1942 in Bellevue, Alberta. He grew up in the Crowsnest pass area where he attended Isabelle Sellon High School. Chuck moved to Calgary in 1963, and achieved his journeyman certificate for steamfitting in 1969. After knowing Lorretta for seven years, he married the love of his life on July 3, 1965 in Bellevue. Chuck’s passion was playing his guitar. He loved singing, and songwriting. Chuck also enjoyed riding quads, horses, and hunting and fishing. In short, he loved the outdoors. Chuck was young at heart, and loved people of all ages and backgrounds (as long as they were nice). He cherished hosting outdoor gatherings on his acreage and ensured everyone had a good time. Chuck was a very likeable individual with lots of friends. He had a fantastic sense of humour and was always making jokes.
Besides his loving wife Lorretta of 57 years, Chuck was also a loving father and is survived by his son Todd Amos of Calgary; daughter Sherri MacDonald and her partner Jason Knapp of Water Valley, Alberta; brother Dennis Amos of Blairmore, Alberta; sister Elaine May of Lethbridge, Alberta; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Chuck was predeceased by his mother Sylvia (Sally) Amos; father Albert Amos; sister Beverly Joan Carnahan; brother-in-law Art Carnahan; brother-in-law Orville May and sister-in-law Patti Amos.
