Allan George Steinhauer

It is with profound sadness that the children of Al Steinhauer announce his passing, February 18, 2017, he passed away peacefully surrounded by Friends and Family at the age of 69. Born in Flowing Wells Saskatchewan, Al moved to Calgary in 1967 and married the love of his life, Donna, on April 21, 1972, for 42 years he loved his job as a heavy duty mechanic at Greatwest Kenworth, and was a proud and wonderful father and grandfather, to his three children, Shane (Dione), Kari and Shelan (Foster Brimicombe) , three grandchildren Justine, Joel and Samantha and his two great grandchildren Mason and Raven. He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Donna; parents Charlie and Elvira and brother Richie. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Pierson’s Funeral Home, 4121-17th Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2017, please bring stories, pictures and memories with you. The Family would also like to thank all the Nurses, Doctors and Care Givers on Unit 66 of South Campus Hospital and Southwood Care Centre for showing Dad so much respect, compassion and support. In lieu of flowers, that family asks you make donations to the either the Ronald McDonald House or the Children’s Hospital.
