Allan Voll of Calgary passed away on February 23rd at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Marion of 57 years, their children Neal (Joanne) and Pamela (Tim), and his granddaughter Anna Michelle. Allan is also survived by his sister Mavis (Walter). Allan is predeceased by and his son, Timothy Bryan, his parents, Albert and Matilda Voll, his brothers Gordon (Alene) and Lloyd (Gertie), his sisters Theresa (Gordon), Joyce (George), Pearl (Kasper) and Ester (John).
Allan was born and raised on a farm outside of Shaunavan, Saskatchewan. Allan left the family farm as a young man and worked at various jobs before settling in Calgary. He worked as a farm hand, at the Turner Valley oil & gas plant, as a butcher, before ending up as letter carrier. He worked with Canada Post for 22 years, before retiring. Calgary is where he met and married Marion in 1962. Together they bought their house in Calgary in 1966, where they continue to call home. Allan was a loving husband, a great parent and a perfect gentlemen. The family would like to send their thanks to Unit 53 of the Peter Lougheed Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of Allan.
A Prayer Service will be held for Allan at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 17 Ave SE, Calgary) on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 45 Street SE, Calgary) on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 10:00 am. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
