Al Pentland passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the age of 75 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years Barbara; sons Cameron (Courtney) of Omaha, NE and Daniel (Jeanette) of High River, AB; grandchildren Dylan, Thomas, McKenna and Teyla; sisters Margot (Randy) Elliot of Calgary, AB and Sandra Pentland (Larry) of Powell River, BC; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Benson & Rhena Pentland and brother Murray Pentland. Al was born and raised in Ontario. He met and married the love of his life Barbara there and they began their family. In 1984 he was transferred to Calgary where he has lived ever since. Al lived a life full of passion for travel, automobiles, baseball and his family. A Visitation will be held for Al at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held at Highwood Cemetery, High River, AB. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.ca).
