With sad hearts we announce that Ana Myriam Valenzuela passed away on October 15, 2019 at 73 years of age surrounded by the Lord’s grace and the love of her family. No matter what she faced, Myriam never stopped loving her family and never gave up on her faith, gathering strength from both throughout her journey. Those who knew Myriam would describe her as feisty and determined. She loved people and always wanted to make sure they felt loved. She loved the Lord, and shared her faith with unhindered excitement. She was full of life, generous, a mentor, teacher and inspiration to many. She celebrated 47 years of marriage with husband Alan on October 4, 2019. They have 4 children, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, that were the core of her life: Patsy (Mike), Jessy (Chris, daughter Myla), Jenny (Darren, daughter Abigail), and her son Michael. Granddaughter Capricia (Sergio, children Matias and Mariana). Myriam and Alan were born in Chile, South America, immigrating to Calgary in 1979. She is being remembered back home by her sister Gloria (nephews Danny and Dennis) and her brother Roberto (Nancy, nephews Roberto and Rodrigo), and many extended friends and family both here and abroad. Her church family was also a deeply valued part of her life. We welcome all who knew and loved Myriam to join us for a memorial to remember her on Friday, November 1st, at 11:00 am at Falconridge Family Church (155 Falconridge Crescent NE). We thank you all for your support, kind words and prayers.
