Ann Anthoney

August 29, 1929 — April 6, 2019

Ann Anthoney passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Born in Melville, SK and daughter to Nicholas and Maria Ewonus, Ann was the fourth youngest of 10 siblings. She is pre-deceased by Tony, her husband of 50 years at the time of his passing, as well as all but one of her siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Kuran, Sherri Buchan (Greg Hobden) and Michele Auffray (John Maleska); 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren with one more arriving soon, and her brother Greg (Merle) Ewonus. Ann kept her mind and body active with many activities and interests. She had a sharp mind and a keen memory of names and dates. Ann was involved with several community associations, was member of the Catholic Womens League (60 years), the Heritage Club (30 years) and several exercise and coffee clubs. Her kind and generous personality will be missed by many. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525-45 Street SE, Calgary) on Friday April 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow Mass at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Donations in Anns name will be appreciated by the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca
