Beverly "Ann" Sallenbach

Ann passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the age of 91 years. Born in Balzac, Alberta, she was the second of four children born to Elva and Sylvan. The family moved to Rosemary, Alberta in the early 1940's and resided there for several years. In 1951, Ann married Lloyd and together they welcomed four children in just ten years and moved to Calgary in the mid-1950s.  

A dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ann served as president of the 4th Ward Relief Society for several years. She was known for her exceptional sewing skills, leading many workshops and creating beautiful quilts for family, friends, and charities. Ann also knitted toques for those in need.

Her children and grandchildren cherished the clothes she lovingly made, especially during the holidays. The highlight of summer for her grandkids was the beloved "Cousin Camp," where they spent weekends with Grandma and Grandpa, giving their parents a well-deserved break.

Ann was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her warmth, generosity, and creativity touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ann is survived by her children, Michael Sallenbach, Lee (Jean) Sallenbach, Vance Sallenbach; grandchildren, Terry (Sheila) Martens, Tyler Martens, Stephanie Martens, Travis Sallenbach (Mehgan Mulvaney), Katie Sallenbach (Dave Sauve), Brandon Sallenbach, Amber (Nathan) Irving, Eric (Alexis Lyons) Simon; sister, Ruth Hess. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Sallenbach; daughter, Jana Martens; mother, Elva Crapo; father, Sylvan Crapo; brothers, Calvin Crapo, and David Crapo.

 A Funeral Service will be held at Pierson’s Funeral Service – Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 17 Ave SE, Calgary, Alberta) on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.
