Art Sheryn Schmunk

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Sheryn Arthur (Art) Schmunk who passed away peacefully at his home in Calgary on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the age of 76 years. Art will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years Audrey; his children Cameron (Jocelyn) and Carrie (Peter); his four precious grandchildren Coen, Riley, Brandyn and Brianna; and many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Art is predeceased by his parents, Victor and Martha, his brothers Melvin and Marvin and his sisters Irene and Ruby. Art was born and raised in Calgary. He retired from the City of Calgary Transit in 2005 after 35 years of service. Never one for idle hands, he returned to work at Eastside Dodge as a courtesy shuttle driver, retiring for a second time in 2018. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball, but most important to him was always his family. Art will be forever in our hearts and always in our memory. A Celebration of Life will take place at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.. Visitation to be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and a reception will follow the celebration at the Chapel.
