Art Danielson passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, with Diane by his side. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 52 and a half years Diane, daughters Michelle (Phil), Wanda (Tammy), and son Mike (Jenn), and granddaughter Mae Gwyn; as well as 7 brothers and sisters Del, Jimmy, Mary Ann, Joan (Randy), Max (Kathy), Peter (Teresa), Kelly (Amelia) and many more extended family. He was predeceased by his parents James and Eva, brother Joseph, and his daughter Tricia. Art was born in Lethbridge, AB and raised in California, Montana, and Alberta. He attended the University of Alberta, where he got his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was very proud of his 35 year career as a Reservoir Engineer in the Oil Patch, working at Mobil, Dome Petroleum, BP/Amoco, and Halliburton and he was instrumental in advancing several technologies including enhanced oil recovery. He enjoyed bird hunting, talking about investments, tinkering in the garage, reading non-fiction, socializing, and regular exercise (when he was healthier). A Memorial Service for Art will be held on Friday July 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn United Church (2236 35 St SE).
