Barry James Matheson

Matheson, Barry James October 6, 1948 – March 31, 2014 It is with heavy hearts that our family announce the passing of our beloved husband and father Barry Matheson. He left this world on March 31, 2014 surrounded by a circle of love that is his family. He is remembered by his beautiful and loving wife Carol, daughters Megan (Renzo) and Gillian (Jason) and two very special granddaughters Gabi and Katrina. He is also survived by his mother Marie and brother David (Joan) as well as a niece and a nephew. Barry was predeceased by his father Joe. Barry touched many lives and made a multitude of friends throughout his life. He loved to travel, meet new people and learn new things. Barry lived his 65 years filled with joy and laughter which he lovingly passed onto others. Many thanks to the compassionate staff at Foothills Hospital Emergency for their care and support. In keeping with Barry’s wishes, no Funeral Service will be held. If friends so desire, donations in Barry’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Suite 200-325 Manning Rd. N.E. Calgary, Ab T2E 2P5). Arrangements and cremation were taken care of by Pierson’s Funeral Services Ltd.
