It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunty, cousin, sister, and sister-in-law on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at the age of 77 years.
Beatrice will be dearly missed by her children B. Kevin (Cheila), Freddie Jr., Wendy, Tom (Melinda), Eva, and Donna (Brian). Ena and Papa raised four grandchildren T.J. (Kaley), Natoshia, Saralyn, and Braeden and special great-granddaughter Kallie. Beatrice had 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her adopted children Hughie (Carolyn) Sinclair, Jennifer (Jason) Sherbo, Quinton (Harriet) Broad Scalplock, Ivan (Lillian) Checkosis, Dallas (Lisa), Jayena (Wayde), and Jaymie (Lori); her sisters Annie and Ina (Darrol); adopted sister Patsy Rider; sisters-in-law Marlene and Catherine Powderface and family; brother-in-law Gerald (Jennie) Clarke. Beatrice is also survived by the Weaselchild Family, family from Morley, Eden Valley and the Blackfeet / Blackfoot Confederacy; and special daughter-in-law Tessa Jones.
Beatrice was predeceased by her loving husband Fred (Papa) Powder; her parents Douglas and Beatrice Poucette; in laws Isaiah and Lucille Powderface; siblings Mina (Carl), Zalinda, Ronald (Barbara), Franklin, Ricky, and Frankie; sisters-in- law and brothers -in-law from the Powderface family; grandchildren Baby E. Powder, Mariah, Bruce Jr, Lena, Christa-Lee, and Joaney. We apologize if we missed anyone, as Beatrice has such a large extended family.

Wake services will commence at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from the Residence of the late Freddie and Beatrice Powder (Rabbit Lake, Alberta) and continue on to Friday, October 29, 2021.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from the Residence of the late Freddie and Beatrice Powder. Graveside services will follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, Alberta). A drive by feast will follow at the Morley United Church.
