Beatrice Marie Heninger

June 3, 1916 — December 25, 2015

Beatrice Heninger passed away peacefully in Calgary on Friday, December 25, 2015 at the age of 99. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Connie Craig (Roy), Evelynn Dresser, Alyce Vernon (Larry), Garry Heninger (Judy), Frederick Heninger (Denise), Howard Heninger (Sharlene), Lorraine Boehme (Gene), Conrad Heninger (Tamera) and Sandra Tilleman (William), over two-hundred living posterity, and many other family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald Heninger, daughter Karen Black, son Woodroe Heninger, her parents Jim and Eva Jacobs, and five siblings. Beatrice grew up near Mountain View, Alberta and then moved to Edmonton to attend hairdressing school. She found work back in Cardston where she met her husband Don. Together they raised a large family of eleven children. Beatrice has been a pillar of strength for her family and all whom she came in contact with. Her love for music allowed her to cheerfully sing and whistle while she worked- she truly was a happy homemaker. Gardening and quilting brought much joy in her life. She gave out extra hugs in the form of handmade quilts. Her fierce independence and love for these hobbies kept her healthy and living on her own well into her 90’s.Beatrice has always been a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lovingly served in many capacities. A Funeral Service will be held for Beatrice at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Bow Valley Chapel (2526 – 24 Avenue NW, Calgary) on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 10:30 am
