Beatrice Violet Mccaffery

Beatrice McCaffery passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the age of 99 years. Beatrice was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, England and shortly after her birth immigrated to Canada with her parents. Through her life she was a very hard working, selfless individual who always put her family first. Her family kept her quite busy as she would do anything for them. She enjoyed going to church for the spiritual and social components; at church she was able to spend time visiting with her friends. She appreciated when her children would come to church with her. She would work hard to save her pennies and in turn they would be treated to tea and toast on their way home from church. Beatrice was a great cook and could prepare hamburger a multitude of ways. When she wanted to have a family dinner she would always prepare Lancashire hotpot as it was a sure way to bring her children together. Beatrice will be lovingly remembered by her three sons Arthur of Ottawa, ON, Doug of Montreal, QC, and Tom of Strathmore, AB; her 10 grandchildren; and her 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Marion, her parents Henry and Rose Olive, and her brother Fred. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca.
