It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Ann Storgeoff of Calgary, AB on December 26, 2020 at the age of 90 years young.
Betty Ann Jean White was born on October 2, 1930 in the hamlet of Hillcrest, AB to proud parents, Alfred & Elizabeth White. She was raised with a strong commitment to family, faith and dedication in all she did.
She was a brilliant student during her school years and was honoured with the role of Sunday school teacher for the local United Church. Betty Ann accepted this role in earnest and even through winter storms, she gathered the children on her sleigh to teach them the word of our Lord. As she blossomed into a lovely and graceful young lady, she found employment with the Royal Bank of Canada and worked in the Pincher Creek and Vancouver Branches eventually being promoted to head the Chargex division until her well-earned retirement. Betty Ann suffered many trials and tribulations in her life as well as accomplishments and awards – she made our world a better place and we will remember her fondly and miss her dearly. May she find comfort in the arms of the Lord.
She leaves to honour her memory her devoted brothers, William (Eileen) White of Bellevue, AB, Allen (Ruth) White of Hillcrest Mines, AB and Richard (Joan) White of Angus, ON; numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband George; parents, Alfred and Elizabeth White; her sister, Gloria; and companion, Glen Bailey.
A Service of Remembrance will be held for Betty at 5:00 p.m. from Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel, 4121 – 17 Ave SE, Calgary on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Due to pandemic protocol, everyone is invited to view the service via our web link on this webpage below.
