Betty Chambers

Betty Chambers passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the age of 87 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Denise Chambers and Chris (Gayle) Chambers; grandsons Derek and Colin; cousin Brian (Maureen) Tedder and their son Kevin (Lesley) and daughter-in-law Susan; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Dennis & Lucy Slater. Betty was born and raised in Nottingham, England. She was married and began her family there as well. In 1986 she followed her daughter Denise to Calgary where she has lived ever since. She enjoyed knitting, shopping, reading and watching TV, but her greatest love was her family. She will be fondly remembered for her friendliness and great sense of humour. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Unit One at Carewest Sarcee for the excellent care their mother received over the past 4 years. A Funeral Service will be held for Betty at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Coach Hill Chapel (996 Strathcona Dr. SW, Calgary) on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca).
