Bret William Edward Horton

On Monday, December 18, 2023 Mr. Bret Horton of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 43 years.

Bret was born and raised in Calgary.  He loved camping, hiking, fishing and traveling.  Bret had a great love for his family.  He was a hard worker and was a wonderful father and husband.

Bret is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Melissa Emary; two children Christian Emary and Seth Emary both of Calgary; his mother Beverly Gill of Penhold, Alberta; his father James Horton of Calgary, Alberta; siblings Diane Horton of Red Deer, Alberta, Timothy Horton and his wife Barb of Penhold, Alberta, Joshua Horton of Penhold, Alberta; numerous aunts and uncles from Calgary, nieces and nephews from Red Deer and Penhold, as well as many cousins in Calgary.

Bret is predeceased by Elinor Gill and Teddy Gill.

A Celebration of Bret's Life will be held at the Dover Community Association (3133 30 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1:00 to 7:00 pm.  Cremation has taken place at the Foothills Crematorium.
