Bruce McTavish passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the age of 80 years.
Bruce was born on May 19, 1937 in Neepawa, Manitoba and lived on the family farm at McCreary, MB.
After his mother’s death at the age of 14 years and in his mid to late teens Bruce set out to start a career. He landed in Saskatchewan with the start of driving gravel trucks. Eventually driving highway trucks for over 20 years. From driving trucks he became a truck salesman for Hayes/Petebilt Trucks. Lastly he finished a 20 year career as a cast driver for the Movie Industry. Retiring 2 years ago.
Bruce loved and was loved not only by family but by many friends. Bruce was a loyal, faithful and honest man. Bruce will be missed not only by family but by the many who knew him. At this time as his wife my heart goes out to those who are missing him.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Myrtle; children Kevin McTavish and Leslie McTavish; grandson Jessie McTavish; sister Margaret Ledoux of Aggazi, BC; and many family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Leslie and Jessie McTavish; sister Audrey Hooge and Husband Earl; brother-in-law Bert Ledoux.
A Memorial Service will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel, 4121 – 17 Avenue SE, on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
