Byron Palmar Wick

Byron Wick passed away peacefully on his 52nd Birthday. He will be missed dearly by his daughters, Kathlyn Wick, Ayleena Wick; step-sons Derek Boe and Jarrett Boe; brothers Farron (Tricia) Wick, Darren Wick, Ryan Wick, Kevin (Michelle) Wick, sister Tanya Henry; parents Cathleen and Palmar Wick; best friend Dave Simmonds; nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his wife Cindy Boe, and best friend Gary Greenwood.

Byron was caring, compassionate, thoughtful and giving. He was a handyman who loved fixing things for others and was always there to lend a helping hand. His favourite hobby was picking up broken bikes, repairing them, and giving them to the neighbourhood children. Along with bicycles, Byron was known for purchasing toys and candy to gift to less fortunate kids; the children loved him! He was an animal lover, a family man, and an all around kind soul who would without hesitation, give anyone the shirt off of his back.

A Memorial Service for Byron will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday October 23 at 1:00pm.
