Cameron Paul Lund

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Cameron Lund. He passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024. 

Cameron was born May 31, 1942 in Raymond, Alberta, where he was raised along with his two brothers. Always full of energy, Cam played sports, with basketball being his favorite. Cam played on the high school team and Lethbridge College. He married his high school sweetheart Seddalla Viola in 1963 in Raymond.

Cam was a lifelong learner. As an air cadet, he obtained his private pilot’s license at the age of 16 years. He had a great love for flying and building model airplanes. Cam spent 40 plus years as a steamfitter/plumber and retired as a teacher at the trade school. He also completed a tax course and worked at H&R Block.

Cam will always be remembered for his sense of humor, service, hard work, kindness, and love for his family. He loved to learn about various topics including current news and events, and World War II history. Cam prioritized spending time with his family, friends and Church community. He loved sports, reading, card games and watching movies. Cam enjoyed living a quiet life and helping others; he gave himself fully to those around him.

Cam is lovingly remembered by his wife, Seddalla; four children, Sandy (Lee), Ryan (Pam), Glen (Kim), and Mike (Stacy); twelve grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. While we all grieve his loss, we do take a small measure of comfort in the knowledge that Cam is reunited with his mom, Frances, dad, Andrew, and two brothers Marty and Philip. Cam will dearly be missed by his family, friends and caregivers of whom we are very thankful for their kind service.

A Service of Remembrance will be held for Cameron at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - 24th Street Chapel, 10923 - 24 Street SW, Calgary, Alberta.
