Catherine Adams

Catherine Adams passed away at Santuari Hospice on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the age of 87 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Robert (Susan) Adams; daughter-in-law Jean; grandchildren, Scott, Keri, Christine, Kimberly, Billy and Michelle; great granddaughter Madison; nieces Anna and Betty and their families; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William and sons Bill and Craig. Catherine was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. After WWII, she married the love of her life William and they began their family. Soon after, they immigrated to Canada, making Calgary their home. Catherine’s passion was to serve others, which was seen in her countless hours volunteering at Forest Grove Nursing Home. She was a parishioner at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a member of the CWL for more than 50 years. She served as Sacristan for more than 20 years as well as provided pastoral care for the parish. Prayers and Visitation will be held for Catherine at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 44 Street and 16 Avenue SE, on Thursday, October 20th, 2011 from 6:00 8:00 p.m. with prayers at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the same location on Friday, October 21st, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Joseph celebrant. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Catherine’s name to the Santuari Hospice, 3500-26th Ave. N.E., T1Y 6J4 (Peter Lougheed Centre – Unit 42), or Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1525 45 Street SE, Calgary, AB T2A 1N3, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
