On Monday, January 9, 2023 Catherine Lowten of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 60 years.
Anybody who knew Cathy knew she was the sweetest person ever. With a big heart the best hugs, Cathy would be that person to give you the shirt off her back. Her love, her friends, and family was enormous. Cathy loved spending time with her family and friends, and in her spare time she loved taking pictures and developing them. Her love for craft and cats never got unnoticed.
Cathy will always be remembered for her soft voice, compassion for others , her beautiful blues eyes, and her long brown hair.
Catherine is survived by one sister Nancy Lowten (David Betts) of Diamond Valley, Alberta; one niece, Selina Shields (Kerry Berridge) of Calgary; two nephews, TJ Shields (Melissa), Trevor Shields (Casey Wilson) all of Calgary; great nieces, Chelsea Shields, Taleah Shields, Ayla Shields; great nephews, Brandon Shields, Axel Shields; great great nephews, Jackson Stacker, Xander Shields, Dexter Shields; and her best friend Sharon Evans. She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Herbert Lowten; brother, Thomas Lowten; and sister, Wendy Shields.
No formal service will be held. A celebration of Catherine’s life will take place at a later date. Cremation to take place at Foothills Crematorium.
