Charles William Bateman

Charles Bateman passed away on Friday February 17, 2023 at the age of 93 years.

Charles will be lovingly remembered by his children, Theresa (Peter) Buur & Rick Bateman; siblings, Edna Wick, Donna (Dave) Torrance, Jean Styler, Dorothy Bateman (Ron Jones), Carolyn (Ingemar) Bjornson, Wayne (Leanne) Bateman.

Charles is predeceased by his wife of 44 years at the time of her passing, Patricia; infant daughter, Christina and daughter, Brenda; along with his parents, William & Grace. He is also predeceased by his siblings, Elsie (Sam) Chisholm, Irene (Frank) Bradley, Ronald (Viviene) Bateman, Marie (Cecil) Walker, Leslie (Karen) Bateman, Gordon Bateman (Myrna Riches) ; brothers-in-law, Otto Wick & Tony Styler.

Charles was a loving husband and an amazing father. He had a kind soul, always willing to help anyone who needed it. He had a happy-go-lucky personality and never complained about anything. He was hardworking and worked many years as an airplane mechanic in the airforce. In his spare time, he enjoyed garden trains and working on vehicles. He also loved fishing and camping.

A Celebration of Charles’s Life will be held at Palliser Bayview Community Centre on March 11, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00pm. Please contact Theresa Buur for details.
