Cheryl Ann Bernier

Cheryl Bernier passed away on Saturday March 9, 2019 at the age of 55 years. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Steven; sons Chadley and Zachary; grandson Dailen; brothers James, Mike and Marty; sister Charmaine; and extended family in Calgary and Ontario. She was predeceased by her infant son Clayton, as well as her parents Shirley and Melvin and brothers Blaine (Chief) and Douglas. Cheryl was born in Toronto to Melvin Blaker and Shirley Stewart. She was one of 7 siblings and grew up in Ontario before moving to Calgary where she’s lived for the past 30 years.

Cheryl followed her passion of cooking by working for many years as a cook for CUPS One World Child Development Centre and was lovingly known to all the children, parents and staff as Chef Cheryl. A Funeral Service will be held for Cheryl at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 17 Ave SE, Calgary) on Monday March 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Viewing will begin at 12:00pm. Following service refreshments will be served.
