Colin Daniel Keess

Colin Keess passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the age of 29 years. Colin was born and raised in Calgary. He graduated from Crescent Heights High School. Colin was very active. He enjoyed hockey, snowboarding, skate boarding and almost any sport he played. Colin also had an artistic side and could do some beautiful graffiti art. Colin worked in construction with concrete. He was a kind soul and was a pleasure to those who knew him. Colin leaves behind his father Hal (Lailauni) Keess; mother Laura Slifka; sister Jaimee Slifka; brother-in-law Avi Butalia; Aunts Catherine, Lorraine, Anita and Shannan; uncles Alan (Susan), Colin (Leigh) and Douglas (Heather); cousins Harry, John, Adam, Stephen, Jeff, Colin, Jamie, Amy, Lindsey, Gabriel and numerous cousins from the Slifka family; girlfriend Kirsty Claassens; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Catherine & Hal Keess and Robert & Dolena Slifka and uncles Bruce, Rick and David. A Funeral Service will be held for Colin at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm. If friends so desire, donations may be made to either Kidsport Canada (www.kidsportcanada.ca) or the Calgary Dream Centre (www.calgarydreamcentre.com).
