Constantine “Connie” Matthie passed away peacefully on Friday, October 15, 2021 at the age of 82 years. Connie was born on October 2, 1939 in Troja, St. Catherine, Jamaica. As a young boy in Jamaica, seeing planes fly overhead, he had the dream of one day being on one and traveling abroad. Connie immigrated to Canada in 1970 thus fulfilling that dream. He was a member of the Jamaican-Canadian Association and the Ace Domino Club. Connie loved music and would sometimes DJ events, and was an avid traveler. He was always willing to help anyone who asked him. Connie had a kind heart and a gentle soul. He will forever be in our hearts.
Connie is lovingly remembered and will be missed by his wife, Kerry. He is also survived by his siblings Lincoln, Clouvis (Josh) and Eileen of New York City, Nicholas (Norma) and Errol of Jamaica; his children Vivette, Delrose, Warrington (Elena), and Jason (Tanya); stepson Levi; along with his grandchildren Divahn, Deondre, Amber, Shaye, Serena, Warrington Jr., and Leanne; and his great-grandchildren Lucas and Sawyer.
