Cora Lynne Birkbeck

With deep sadness, the family of Cora Lynne Birkbeck (nee MacEwen) would like to announce her passing on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the age of 69 years after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband Terrance “Terry” Birkbeck; son Douglas Birkbeck; daughters Kelly Birkbeck and Shannon Birkbeck; sister Bobbie Beck; brother David (Sandra) MacEwen; and many more family and friends. Lynne was predeceased by her parents Alexander & Alexandra MacEwen and brother George MacEwen. Lynne was born and raised in Calgary. She met the love of her life Terry through common friends and they were married in 1975. They were blessed with three children. Lynne was a library assistant and worked for many years at the Calgary Public Library in both the downtown branch and the VIllage Square NE location. She loved to read and travel, and has traveled through most of Europe. Lynne’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Beverly Centre Lake Midnapore for the exceptional care and attention they gave her. The family will be holding a private family service for Lynne.
