It is with deep sorrow that the family of Cottrel Duncan announces his sudden passing at the age of 60 years. He will be forever loved by his wife Marcia; his children Colleen, Sheryl (Shaun), Ricardo (Anna); two grandchildren Kaniyen and Taytum-Lee; his mother Maud; as well as his siblings Joe, Daphne, Annette, Dorsette, Joan, Evans and Danville “Lud”. He was predeceased by his father Reuben and sister Phyllis. Cottrel was born and raised in Jamaica and followed his sweetheart Marcia to Calgary in 1976. He has worked for Safeway for 34 years. Deeply devoted to God, Cottrel has served as a Deacon and choir member in the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic. He has a love of singing gospel music, a comedic sense of humour and most importantly was a dedicated husband and father. He will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to visit and pay their respects at the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic, 2860 38 Street SW, on Friday, May 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Showers of Blessings Church, 3915 – 34 St NE on Saturday, May 12, at 11:00 am with Bishop F. Bonito officiating.
