Dale Mathew Martin

Dale Martin passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the age of 74 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years Elaine; children, Melody (Paolo) Chiacchia, Tara (James) Aucoin and Mathew (Vivian) Martin; grandchildren, Megan, Brandon, Shelby, Ethan, Cooper, Sollance and Maureena; siblings, Laverne (Gary) Fedje, Robert (Bobbie) Martin, and John (Debbie) Martin; in-laws, Syd (Doreen) Tayler, Mark (Petra) Lamoureux, Mona (Don) Hauser, and Llona (Andy) Berns; numerous nieces and nephews and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Charles & Eva Martin; sister Cora “Corey” Martin; brother Charles “Chuck” Martin; in-laws Paul & Molly Lamoureux, Patricia Irwin, Maureen Kozina, Brent Lamoureux, Cameron Lamoureux and Ken Ford.

Dale was born in High River, AB and raised in DeWinton, AB. He spent most of life in sales and then worked for the City of Calgary until his retirement. Dale enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping, boating and fishing. He also enjoyed watching hockey, especially when his grandsons were playing.

A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, with tributes at 11:00 am. If friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Dale to the Kidney Foundation (
