Daniel Marlin Borth

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Daniel “Dan” Borth announces his passing on Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Calgary at the age of 82 years. Dan is survived by his daughters Tracy and Trudi; his sisters Laura, Bert, and Chris; his special friends Donna, and Rosalind; his dear friend Jason; as well as numerous other family members and friends. Dan was a long haul truck driver for many years before becoming a cement truck driver here in Calgary. Although he enjoyed being on the open road, his true passion was his family. Dan loved to host his family’s annual reunion here in Calgary; he was able to host some of the more memorable reunions his family won’t soon forget. Dan also fancied motor sports and, later in life after his retirement, picked up the game of golf; he did always love a challenge. He was a good man with an infectious smile; the imprint he has left on this earth will never be filled. Dan will be greatly missed by all those who had the absolute pleasure of knowing him. A Funeral Service will be held for Dan at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Dan’s name to the Calgary Humane Society at www.calgaryhumane.ca/donate.
