Darren Van Thiesen

We are saddened to announce the passing of Darren Van Thiesen. Darren passed away suddenly on Jan 20. Darren was born in Saskatoon on April 4 1961. He spent most of his childhood and life in and around the Calgary area. In 1982 Darren married Maggie Thiesen who went on to have four children with him. Throughout the years he was a businessman and was devoted to his family life. Darren loved camping, fishing and being outdoors with his children and grandchildren. He was a kind man with a big heart who was always willing to help anyone in need. Darren was full of life and loved being around his friends and family. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Joel, Coralyn and Tessa, his grandchildren Lucas, Alejandra and Victoria, his mother Beverly, Brothers Dean, Jeff and Randy as well as numerous family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 21, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Clarion Hotel 2120 16 Ave NE Calgary. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca
