David Gerald Scott

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Dave Scott. He was married to the love of his life June Scott for 61 years. Together they had 4 children Holly Keen (Brent), Gerald (Leanne), Jason (Tracy) and Neil Scott. They were blessed with 6 grandchildren Dillon, Jordan, Quintin, McKenna, Olivia and Brandon.

He was born and raised in Forest Lawn and eventually Dave and June built their family home on the Scott family farm where he resided until his passing. He retired from The City of Calgary after 35 years of service. In his retirement he took up woodworking, painting and reading, but his passions were gardening and golf.

Dave was predeceased by his mother Cordelia, his father Harry and his brother Mickey.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking vacations with his grandchildren. A special memory was Grandma and Grandpa’s first trip to Disneyland on their 50th wedding anniversary. Dave and June looked forward to their summer road trips to Christina Lake, BC to spend time with his family golfing, boating and making memories.

Dave was a good friend and would open his door, offer a chair at the kitchen table and a drink to those that came to visit. He was a loyal member of the Forest Lawn Legion where he established some long-lasting friendships. He will be sadly missed and his memory will be in our hearts forever.

In accordance with his wishes, no formal service will be held.
