Calgary, Alberta

David Henry Hager, 80 years of age, passed on Tuesday, January 14, 2024, at the Peter Lougheed Hospital.

David Hager was born in the town of Trochu, Alberta on Sunday, August 27, 1944 and was one of nine children.

David was a roofer for many years and could tell a thousand stories about the things he got up to on the roof. He loved to frequent garage sales on the weekends and visit the farmers markets around Calgary. David and Viola loved spending time at their trailer on Eagle Lake until her passing in 2020. He enjoyed visiting and laughing with friends and family while sitting around the campfire. He will be dearly missed by all those who shared good times and memorable moments with him.

He is predeceased by his loving spouse Viola Goodeagle; Brothers, Ken Hager, Bob Hager and Raymond Hager.
He is survived by his brothers Ed Hager, Bryan Hager (Betty), and Gord Hager (Virgina); and sisters Shirley Smith (Larry) and Barb Paolucci (Nino).

He leaves behind his brothers and sisters, his children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cherished friends. We would like to say thank you to the hospital staff and Doctors who treated David with such kindness and compassion during his time at the Peter Lougheed Hospital.
