David Samuel Moss

David Moss passed away at his home on Monday, February 3, 2025 at the age of 63 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Andrea; children, Jessica and John David (Kayla); four grandchildren, Dominic, Owen, Sophia & Ashton all of Calgary; siblings, Brian (Emma) of Downsview North York, ON, Barry (Jeanne) of Napanee, ON & Linda (Fred) of Ottawa, ON as well as his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Aileen.

Dave was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and poppa.

As a child, Dave was active and fun-loving, with a deep passion for sports and spending time with family, friends, and neighbours. He was frequently seen riding his bike around the neighbourhood, always eager to enjoy the outdoors. Brian, Barry, and Linda have many fond and loving memories of growing up together on Glitspur Drive.

He cherished his family and especially enjoyed spending quality time with them, whether going on long drives through the countryside or embarking on nature walks with his soulmate, Andrea. Dave also cherished going on long voyages for “Milk”, where Andrea and Dave would explore new places and create unforgettable memories together.

Dave graduated from Westview Centennial Secondary School, where he met his wife, Andrea. He began working immediately after high school in the Toronto area before moving to Calgary with Andrea and their beautiful daughter, Jessica. A few years later, they welcomed their son, John David.

Dave treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. Whether it was fishing with his son and grandsons, enjoying peaceful, meaningful time on the water, or sharing playful dance-offs and impromptu fashion shows with his granddaughter, he found joy in every experience. They would laugh and compete, turning simple moments into unforgettable memories. These lighthearted activities reflected Dave’s joyful spirit and his deep love for his family. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with his daughter, creating an adventurous bond between them. Long drives with his grandkids were another highlight, filled with laughter and stories as they explored new places together. These were just a few of the many ways Dave made lasting memories with those he loved most.

Dave worked at IKO for over 20 years, where he formed lifelong friendships and made a lasting impact on everyone he met. Outside of work, Dave loved to spend his free time playing "frisbee" golf, often enjoying casual rounds with friends, family, or anyone who was up for a game. His love for the sport, which began during his youth as a caddy at Oakdale Golf Course, carried on throughout his life. Whether it was on the greens or just sharing laughs with others, golf was another way Dave connected with the people he cared about.

Dave was deeply loved by his family and friends. He will be missed immensely by all who were lucky enough to know him. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, infectious sense of humour, incredible dance moves, and unwavering love for life.
