Desmond “Dezzy” Bone was born in Brandon, Manitoba on April 10, 1981 and entered into God’s arms on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the age of 35 years.
Desmond is survived by his mother Ruby Bone; father, Michael Gordon; stepfather, Brad Moad; brothers, Bradley Moad-Bone and Blaire Moad-Bone; sister, Lori-Anne Bone (Len Delorme); children, Nicholas Gunn-Bone, Nayloni Gunn-Bone and Naliyah Gunn-Bone; numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and friends, and highly respected best friend and brother, Troy.
He was predeceased by his sister, Brianna Moad-Bone; son and twin to Nicholas, Jonah Gunn-Bone; and grandparents to which he was the eldest grandson, George and Phyllis Bone.
Desmond was known by names such as Dezzy Bone and Mistah Bone. He moved to Calgary, Alberta at a young age and grew up in Forest Lawn. Dezzy was very artistic in drawing and writing poems which he shared with many. He loved to write songs and record rap music. It is through the words of his life, his artistic and inspirational writing, and his music that he was well respected and loved by everyone who knew Dez.
Desmond always showed his loved for his children and family. He truly shared his heart with all who knew him. His life will live on through his music and through the hearts of his loved ones.
We love you Dez! You will never be forgotten… your spirit is with us.
