Diosdado Velasco Publico

Diosdado “Dante” Publico passed away on Wednesday May 11, 2022 at the age of 89 years.
Diosdado is survived by his wife, Emma; step-daughter, Aira, daughters, Precy (Bayani) Diala and Rosa (Abner) Maloles; four grandchildren, Michael, Kenneth, Joseph & Jocelyn; and two great-grandchildren, Kira & Leo; the Layug family and relatives in the U.S, Philippines, and Italy, as well as many extended family friends. He is predeceased by his first wife of 52 years, Aurea Masa Publico and his nine siblings.
Diosdado was born in Tanauan, Philippines to Isidoro Publico and Filomena Velasco. He was the second youngest of nine siblings. Diosdado immigrated to Canada in May of 1995 and took up work as a housekeeper at Sait.
Diosdado was part of the Diamond Seniors Club in Calgary and a very active member in the God Almighty Foundation Prayer Group at Holy Trinity Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, outings with friends, gardening and traveling. Diosdado will be missed by all who loved him.
The schedule of services for Diosdado is as follows:
Prayers at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Thursday May 19, 2022 starting at 7:00pm. Visitation will follow until 10:00pm
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525-45 Street S.E., Calgary) on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
