Donald Hanson passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at the age of 90 years. Donald was born in Dalesboro, Saskatchewan and lived in Calgary most of his life. Over his lifetime he owned and enjoyed horses and always was proud of his vehicles. He followed rodeo, hockey and football. He was a die-hard Saskatchewan Roughriders fan and wouldn’t miss the Calgary Stampede. He belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion, Sons of Norway and the Scandinavian Club.
Donald will lovingly remembered by his sister, Linda Tait; nephews Walt Thomson (Sandra; Bronwyn and Liam); Stuart Tait (Nicole (Bryn), Hannah and Madeline); niece Shannon Thomson (Jim; Tanner (McKenna; Tenley); Kelly Tait (Adrienne; Kaelan, Isaac, Logan and Keirsten). He was a great-uncle to Shyla Thomson (Jason; Hunter and Peyton); April Thomson (Dylan and Abigail); Tia Thomson (Ariane); Sean Thomson (Danielle; Tessa, Ethan, Nevaeh and TJ). He was predeceased by his parents, Muriel and Arthur Hanson; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Andrew Thomson; brother-in-law Bill Tait; and his nephews, Doug Thomson and Warren Thomson.

A Graveside Service and interment will be held at Dalesboro Church, south of Carlyle, SK on Saturday, August 26th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. A lunch will follow the interment at Carlyle United Church.
