Donnie MacDonald passed away suddenly on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the age of 61 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Marilyn (Ray) Fair and Jeanette MacDonald; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John & Olive MacDonald, sister Hazel Brown and brother Ron MacDonald. Donnie was born and raised in Calgary. He worked in the lumber yard at Totem and then with seniors at Golden Threads Senior Centre. Donnie enjoyed horse racing and garage sales. A Memorial Service will be held for Donnie at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel, 4121 -17 Avenue SE, on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. during which an opportunity for friends to share tributes will be provided. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, #100, 119 14 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6.
