After a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis, we announce, with great sadness, the passing of Donna Lynne DeLorme . She is survived by her father, Bernie DeLorme, her mother, Hilda Yerxa and stepfather Robert Yerxa, her brother, Darren DeLorme and his wife Duka Julius – DeLorme, her step-niece, Romina and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Donna lived a happy active life and worked for several years in the public sector; mostly as an accountant. When her disease progressed, Donna ran a successful accounting firm from her home. Donna loved music and supported many of her favourite musicians in the area of public relations. Despite her pain and many battles, she advocated strongly for CCSVI and the Liberation treatment that had helped many people she knew. Because her MS was too advanced, the treatment did not help her. Most recently she has advocated fiercely for the “Right to Die with Dignity” and her final wish is for this law to soon be enacted. The family sincerely thanks her wonderful caregivers for their love and support. Memorial Concerts to celebrate Donna’s life will be held in Calgary and Toronto – dates and locations will be advised. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS).
