Raymond will be dearly missed by his partner of 7 years Theresa Weller of Calgary; his mother and step-father Sharon & Mitchell Gunter of Fulshear, TX; his father Raymond E. Lamontagne; and grandmother Eileen Romanycia of Cabri, SK. Raymond is also survived by his sister Janna Callihoo (Jason) and daughter Kira Kasumovic, of Richmond, TX; a step-brother Kurtis Gunter (Jami) and two sons Luka & Zayden, of Saskatoon, SK. Raymond is also survived by Theresa’s family: Her parents Lynn & Terry Weller of South River, ON; two sisters Kim Weller (Cody) of Magnetawan, ON and Shannon Maass (Brian) of Medicine Hat; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a large circle of friends.
Raymond was predeceased by his grandfather William Romanycia.
Ray was an avid amature botanist, geologist, and birder. He was never seen without a book in his hand and a smile on his face. He channeled his desire to help and his intrinsic curiosity about people into a successful career as a Clinical Psychologist. His love of wine and fried chicken was bar none. He loved his friends like family, and many hours were spent playing WarCry, hanging out at the Banya, drinking wine, and listening to music. He was a devoted Cat Dad to The Forest Cat and Meesey. He was the king of puns and his quick wit and humour were appreciated by all.
