Day, Edna Elizabeth January 30, 1915 – July 27, 2013
Edna Day passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the age of 98 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Maureen Davis and Grant (Lorraine) Day; grandchildren Christopher (Lindsay) Davis, Derek Davis and Kimberley Pandachuck; great grandchildren Tyler Davis, Ariel Pandachuck, Carly Davis and Jaxen Davis; nephews Gordon, Glen, Bobby and Nicky; nieces Colleen, Dell and Doreen; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her grandson Daren Tessari. Edna was born in Compeer, Alberta to Thomas Leath and Lilly May Sturdy and raised in central Alberta. She eventually made Calgary her home where she has lived ever since. Edna loved to travel and did so mostly by hitch hiking. She actually hitch hiked all over the United States. Edna was a Nurses Aid and found people to care for no matter where she was. She had a great sense of humor and will be missed by her family greatly. At Edna’s request no formal Funeral Service will be held.
