It is with incredibly heavy hearts that the family of Edwin Fergin announces his passing on Thursday, August 13, 2020, in Calgary, at the age of 65 years. Left to morn his passing is his mother, Olga of Kelowna; his brother Don of Calgary; his aunt and uncle, Karola and Alex Bopp of Grande Prairie; his cousins Ronald and Eric; as well as many other family members and friends. Edwin was pre-deceased by his father Artur in 2015.
Edwin was born in Pincher Creek, AB, but spent his formative years in Calgary. He had a tinkering mind since childhood; he could always be found taking things apart to see how they worked and then enjoyed putting them back together again. Later in life he attended S.A.I.T. where he furthered his “tinkering” knowledge in both automotive and computer science. Edwin passed down the tricks of the trade that he learned to his brother Don, who in turn, was able to discover his passion in fixing motorcycles. It goes without saying that the imprint he has left on this earth will never be filled, Edwin will be greatly missed by all those who had the absolute pleasure of knowing him. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to AOMEGA Lodges for the great care that Edwin received. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Edwin’s name to St. Matthew Lutheran Church (66 7 St NE, Calgary, AB T2E 4B7, 403-266-1458). Internment will take place at a later date.
