Eileen Lillie passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the age of 83 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Gerald; children, Jason (Lisa) and Kelvin; six grandchildren, Riley, Jadyn, Ashton, Ocean, Roman & Memphis; siblings, Violet, Sylvia, Peter, Jean & Vivian; along with many extended family in Alberta and England. Eileen is predeceased by one grandson, Tyler and her brother, Tony.
Eileen was born in Surrey, England. She and Gerry moved to Canada where she worked for many years at the Calgary Board of Education. She also volunteered at Calgary Hospitals as a ‘baby cuddler’. She was a skilled knitter and would knit hats and booties for donation to the hospital’s labour and delivery wards. She possessed a kind and loving heart towards rescue animals as well. In the summers, she and Gerry loved camping at Pine Lake.
Friends are invited to a visitation for Eileen at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Saturday April 22 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
